The announcement will be let out some time soon, before Christmas. The location of the fight is somewhat certain, but sometimes plans change based on what the MGM Grand has going on during that time.
The MGM Grand hosted the Wilder-Ortiz fight back in June and the Fury fought Otto Wallin there in September. The MGM Grand is owned by T-Mobile and always welcome big fights like this one. This is the venue that everyone knows about and knows the big fights that the Grand has hosted in the past.
February 22 was picked as the fight date, because it was a great time to promote and market the rematch. The season is started to taper off for college football and this was a good time to bring something new and attractive into people.
Both ESPN and FOX will promote the fights and often, especially during peak viewing times. These are during the top sporting events, telecasts, college football playoffs, and NFL playoffs as well. During the Super Bowl, there will ads for the fight and a lot of promoting leading up to the event.
Their previous meeting between the two was very memorable and Fury showed he could outlast Wilder for many stretches of rounds. Wilder scored the two knockouts, however.
